To use iTunes U you must first install iTunes software on your computer. If it is already installed go to the next tutorial called Accessing and Navigating iTunes U at NAU.
To download iTunes
- Go to www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
- NOTE: If you don’t want to receive emails from Apple, uncheck the two check boxes above the Download Now button and don't provide your email address.
- Click the Download Now button.

- this will open a dialog box letting you know you've started a download. Click the Save File button to start the iTunes install file downloading to either your Desktop or if you've chosen an alternate location for downloads, to that location.

To install iTunes
- Double click the iTunesSetup.exe icon to begin the installation, when the Open File dialog box comes up click the Run button.

- The iTunes + QuickTime install window will open, showing information about the software that you are about to install. Click the Next button to begin the installation. Next you will need to agree to the license agreement.

- Next choose which shortcuts iTunes will create and a location for the installation. After making these selections, click the Install button and Windows will begin the installation process.

- When the installation process is finished, the iTunes + QuickTime install window will let you know that iTunes has successfully been installed. Click the Finish button to close the installer. Now you can move the iTunesSetup.exe file to the Recycle Bin and you are ready to use iTunes.
